The fourth edition of the Cycling Tour of Szeklerland will take place between July 22-25. The competition is organized by the City Hall of Miercurea Ciuc, and the Harghita County Sports Directorate, in partnership with the Harghita and Covasna Cou
nty Councils, the City Hall of Sfantu Gheorghe, Targu Secuiesc, Odorheiu Secuiesc and Gheorgheni, and Apemin Tusnad, who is in the same time the main sponsor of the event.
At this year’s edition approximately 130 cyclers will compete from more than 20 countries(Ukraine, Moldova, Montenegro, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Norway, Turkey, Hungary, Romania etc).
The cycling competition will be also broadcasted on television: the SportKlub sportschannel will transmit a 4 hour long material each day on the first three days of the race, while on the last day, Sunday, July 25, they will try to broadcast live the last two stages of the competition.
The Cycling Tour of Szeklerland aims to promote cycling and in the same time the beautiful landscapes of this region.
